Model 3
The most drought tolerant yard in the Rockrose Education Garden, this back yard is predominantly a succulent garden with a dry river rock streambed. Showing reuse of nature’s resources, the streambed will collect rainwater and allow it to permeate back into the soil. A rain barrel also will be shown. For those who shy away from succulent gardens, thinking they are boring, this one is sure to surprise with a rainbow of colors and variation of textures. Flowing shrubs will include flap jacks and “big pink hens and chicks.” Agave, aloe and Mexican bush sage also will be featured.
